The Legendary businessman, chairman of Ittefaq Group, Mr. Mian Muhammad Sharif, grandfather of Mr. Hussain Nawaz Sharif established a steel melting unit known as Ittefaq Foundry Ltd. that turned in to the largest steel producer in private sector of Pakistan

Ittefaq Group expanded from a single foundry to 30 businesses which produced steel, sugar, paper, and textile in Pakistan.

Al-Azizia Steel Company Limited was established. The Company produced reinforced bars, square bars.

Al Tilal Steel was founded. The organization became a market leader for processing and trading of scrap metals in middle east.

Melt Shop and Billet Manufacturing Plant was established.

Rolling Mill was established to produce high quality steel barsof various sizes.

Addition of a Lindemann make Scrap Shear in the Scrap Yard to enhance scrap processing capabilities
